The Debt Collector will contact customers by phone and other approved communication channels to resolve past-due accounts, negotiate payment arrangements, and document all interactions accurately in the system. Daily responsibilities include reviewing account information, verifying debtor details, following compliant collection practices, and meeting individual and team performance goals. The role also involves collaborating with supervisors and peers, using computer-based tools to track progress, and providing courteous, professional service to every customer while adhering to company and regulatory standards.Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Debt Collection and Cash Collection, including experience negotiating payment arrangements and handling delinquent accounts.Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear verbal communication, active listening, and professional customer interaction.Candidates should possess solid Computer Literacy skills, including comfort with CRM or collection software, email, and basic data entry.Candidates should possess foundational Finance knowledge related to consumer accounts, payment terms, and basic credit concepts.Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in collections or call center environments, familiarity with FDCPA or related regulations, a high school diploma or equivalent, reliability in attendance, ability to work in a goal-driven environment, and fluency in multiple languages as a plus.
