This role is responsible for overseeing the debtors function, including managing debtor accounts, monitoring collections, and ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions. The Debtors Supervisor will implement and maintain credit control policies, prepare regular reports on debtor performance, and support month-end and year-end processes. The role also involves supervising debtor clerks, providing guidance on best practices, and identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce bad debt.The Impact You'll MakeEnsure accurate weekly and monthly debtor reportingMaintain and administer credit applicationsPrepare accurate monthly reconciliationsManage the debt collection process effectivelyPrepare settlement discounts where applicableLiaise professionally with clients and fleet merchantsEnsure adherence to company policies and proceduresOversee general debtor administration and filingManage, guide and support a team of Debtor ClerksMaintain accuracy, compliance and service excellence across the debtor functionWhat Makes You A FitMatric Certificate with Maths and AccountingRelevant qualification aligned to the positionEstablished debtors experiencePrevious Debtors Supervisor experience is essentialAdvanced computer literacyProficient in MS Excel, MS Word and MS OutlookStrong accuracy and attention to detailAble to work productively in a high-pressure environmentWilling to learn and develop new skillsStrong time-management ability with clearly defined objectives
