Join an established specialist software house with over 20 years' experience building data management and compliance software for highly regulated industries. With major new clients globally, it's an exciting time to join!The Technical Delivery Manager is a brand-new role at the heart of a small, close-knit development team. You'll own planning, scoping and delivery, help set the technical direction, and be the link between the developers, sales, infrastructure and clients. The business wants fresh eyes, new ideas and a personality to match, so this is a real chance to make the role your own.What will you be doing?Running the weekly planning meeting: reviewing targets, allocating support tickets and setting prioritiesScoping new work and turning client needs into clear requirementsIntroducing light-touch, sprint-style planning and tracking who's doing what, including testingOwning the development roadmap and deciding what goes into each releaseEvaluating new technologies and agreeing with the team what to adopt and how to integrate itOverseeing the development plan, including migration away from legacy VB and the replacement of end-of-life third-party componentsTriaging support calls and mentoring a mixed-experience teamWorking with clients, and being client facingWhat are we looking for?Experience managing software delivery or guiding a development team: scoping, planning and deliveryA technical background, ideally in software development, so you can make sound technical calls and step in when neededPractical knowledge of agile or sprint-based ways of workingConfidence working with clients and presenting to groupsA collaborative leadership style, full of ideas without being domineeringVisual Basic, legacy migration or regulated-industry experience would be a bonusBenefits Package£60,000 – £70,000 base salaryDiscretionary annual bonus20 days holiday, rising to 25 with service, plus Bank HolidaysPlease apply directly or reach out with your most up to date CV to beth.lees@primis-talent.com
