Apply & track with Apply EdgePosition OverviewWe are seeking an organized, responsible, and results-driven Delivery Manager / Supervisor to oversee daily delivery operations, coordinate delivery staff, and ensure orders are delivered safely, accurately, and on time. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage drivers, delivery schedules, customer service, and operational performance in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily delivery operations, ensuring orders are prepared, dispatched, and delivered accurately and on time.Coordinate and supervise delivery drivers and delivery staff, including scheduling, route allocation, and daily duties.Plan and optimize delivery routes and schedules to improve efficiency and minimize delays.Monitor delivery status and resolve issues relating to delays, missing items, incorrect orders, or customer concerns.Ensure all deliveries are handled safely and in accordance with company procedures.Monitor driver performance, attendance, punctuality, and compliance with company standards.Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, stores, kitchens, and other internal teams to ensure smooth delivery operations.Manage delivery equipment, vehicles, delivery bags, and other operational resources where required.Monitor delivery costs, fuel usage, overtime, and operational efficiency.Maintain accurate delivery records, reports, and documentation.Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally and ensure appropriate follow-up.Support the training and onboarding of new delivery staff.Identify operational issues and implement improvements to increase delivery efficiency, customer satisfaction, and service quality.For Managers, take overall responsibility for delivery performance, team management, operational planning, and service standards.RequirementsPrevious experience in delivery operations, logistics, transportation, hospitality, retail, or a similar supervisory role.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Good understanding of delivery scheduling, route planning, and operational coordination.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.Strong customer service skills and ability to handle delivery-related issues professionally.Good knowledge of health, safety, and workplace procedures.Comfortable using delivery management systems, GPS, scheduling software, Microsoft Office, and Excel.Ability to coordinate effectively with drivers, suppliers, customers, and internal departments.Reliable, responsible, proactive, and able to make decisions under pressure.Manager candidates should have previous experience in team leadership, logistics coordination, or delivery management.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.Relevant qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Transportation, or a related field are an advantage.
