Demand Planner

Role OverviewThe Demand Planner is responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts and optimizing inventory levels across Taw9eel’s FMCG, electronics, and retail categories. The role ensures product availability while minimizing stockouts, excess inventory, and obsolete stock.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop demand forecasts using historical sales, seasonality, promotions, and market trends.Adjust forecasts for campaigns, flash sales, Ramadan, White Friday, and new product launches.Set and maintain safety stock, reorder points, lead times, and other planning parameters.Monitor stock availability, OOS risks, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory.Collaborate with Commercial, Procurement, Marketing, Logistics, and Operations teams through the S&OP process.Align demand plans with supplier lead times, MOQs, promotions, and replenishment requirements.Analyze forecast accuracy and inventory performance and recommend corrective actions.Support post-promotion analysis and continuous improvement of forecasting processes.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, or a related field.3–5 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, or Inventory Management, preferably in E-commerce, Retail, FMCG.Advanced MS Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and forecasting functions.Experience with ERP/WMS and demand planning systems.Strong analytical, numerical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
