This paid position offers you the opportunity to grow your skills in a collaborative setting dedicated to excellence in dental care.About the RoleDutiesPrepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition.Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments.Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with HIPAA regulations.Manage electronic medical records ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of patient information.Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health.Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging as needed to support comprehensive patient evaluations.Maintain strict infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures, adhering to OSHA guidelines.Support front desk operations by acting as a dental receptionist when necessary, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow efficiently.Assist with medical documentation and coding for insurance claims using systems to ensure timely reimbursements.Collaborate seamlessly with the team using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations including HIPAA and OSHA standards while maintaining a welcoming environment for pediatric patients.QualificationsValid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with current licensure in Hawaii preferred.Proven experience in general dentistry with a strong background in pediatric dentistry preferred.Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Care Stack, or Edge; familiarity with medical coding is advantageous.Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice.Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging devices accurately.Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages and backgrounds.Strong organizational skills for managing medical records, documentation, and appointment scheduling efficiently.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring patient privacy at all times; experience with pediatrics is a plus.CompensationAttractive Compensation Package based on experience and expectations.Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a difference every day!
