Team members join a patient-centered environment where quality care and a positive experience are top priorities.Role Description The Dental Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in the Washington DC Area. This position supports dentists and hygienists during clinical procedures, including preparing treatment rooms, arranging instruments and materials, and assisting chairside with exams, cleanings, restorative, and cosmetic treatments. Daily responsibilities include taking and processing dental X-rays, maintaining accurate patient records, reinforcing oral care instructions, and helping ensure a smooth patient flow. The Dental Assistant also manages sterilization and infection control protocols, organizes supplies, and contributes to a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients. Collaboration with the clinical and front-office teams is essential to provide efficient, high-quality care.QualificationsDemonstrated experience in Dental Assisting, supporting dentists and hygienists in a clinical setting.Knowledge of Dental Care, Dentistry, and Oral Care principles to assist with a variety of procedures and patient education.Strong understanding of Sterilization and infection control practices to maintain a safe treatment environment.Relevant dental assistant certification or registration as required by state regulations; radiography license preferred.Proficiency in using dental software, digital imaging systems, and basic computer applications.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered, empathetic approach to care.Ability to work on-site full time, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented practice.Previous experience in general or cosmetic dentistry is beneficial; bilingual skills are a plus.
