Founded by Jason Korkus, DDS, the practice is dedicated to delivering caring, professional dental services to patients of all ages, including infants, expectant parents, and adults. Role Description The Dental Assistant role at Sonrisa Family Dental is a full-time, on-site position based in Pensacola , FL. The Dental Assistant will support dentists during clinical procedures, prepare treatment rooms, and ensure all instruments and materials are ready and organized. Daily responsibilities include assisting with patient seating and comfort, taking and processing X-rays as permitted by state regulations, maintaining accurate patient records, and providing chairside support during examinations and treatments. The Dental Assistant will also be responsible for sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment, maintaining infection control and safety standards, and restocking supplies. This role involves clear, respectful communication with patients, explaining basic oral care instructions, and contributing to a welcoming, family-friendly environment.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Dental Assisting and Dentistry.Candidates should possess strong skills in Dental Care and Oral Care.Candidates should possess strong skills in Sterilization and infection control procedures.Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience.Current relevant certifications (e.g., CPR; state dental radiography license if required).Knowledge of dental terminology, chairside procedures, and basic dental software.Ability to follow clinical protocols, maintain confidentiality, and work in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills; bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.
