We are a busy practice with 9 surgeries.About the RoleAs a Sterilisation Nurse, you will play a critical role in supporting our clinical team by ensuring all instruments and equipment are cleaned, processed, sterilised, and prepared to the highest standards.This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, enjoys working in a structured environment, and understands the importance of consistency and excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesCleaning, disinfecting, inspecting, packaging, and sterilising dental instruments.Operating and monitoring sterilisation equipment and autoclaves.Maintaining accurate sterilisation records and compliance documentation.Manage the logging, tracking, and traceability of instruments through the practice management and sterilisation software systems, ensuring accurate records and compliance with infection control requirements.Maintaining accurate computer records relating to sterilisation processes, instrument movements, and compliance requirements.Preparing instrument kits and treatment rooms for daily procedures.Monitoring and replenishing sterilisation and clinical consumables.Ensuring compliance with infection control standards and practice protocols.Safely managing clinical waste and sharps disposal.Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient Sterilisation Department.Supporting the wider clinical team to ensure smooth daily operations.What We're Looking ForEssential QualitiesWe are seeking someone who:Has exceptional attention to detail and takes pride in accuracy.Is highly organised and able to work efficiently in a busy environment.Demonstrates reliability, accountability, and a strong work ethic.Understands the importance of patient safety and infection control.Is proactive and takes ownership of their responsibilities.Strong computer literacy with the ability to maintain accurate records and digital documentation.Ability to work independently, demonstrate excellent time management skills, and contribute effectively as a collaborative member of the team.Appreciates the importance of compliance, traceability, and quality assurance processes.Works well independently and as part of a team.Has a positive attitude and contributes to a supportive workplace culture.Remains calm under pressure while maintaining high standards.Is committed to continuous improvement and professional growth.ExperiencePrevious dental, healthcare, sterilisation, or clinical experience is highly regarded.Proficiency with computer systems and data entry.Knowledge of infection control procedures is desirable.Training will be provided for the right candidate who demonstrates the right attitude, values, and willingness to learn.Why Join Fanelli Dental?Permanent part-time or full-time position.Supportive and collaborative team environment.Modern practice with high clinical standards.Ongoing training and development opportunities.A workplace that genuinely values its people.Opportunity to play a vital role in patient care and practice success.Competitive remuneration based on experience.More Than Just SterilisationAt Fanelli Dental, we recognise that this position is far more than processing instruments.The Sterilisation Department is the foundation of every successful clinical day.
