The Dental Assistant supports dentists and dental specialists during clinical procedures by preparing treatment rooms, arranging instruments, and assisting chairside. Daily responsibilities include welcoming and preparing patients, maintaining accurate records, sterilizing and organizing equipment, and ensuring adherence to infection control and safety protocols. The role involves managing appointment schedules, supporting dental imaging and impressions, and providing clear post-treatment instructions to patients. The Dental Assistant also collaborates with the wider clinical team to ensure a smooth patient experience aligned with the organization’s commitment to compassionate, high-quality care.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong clinical support skills in assisting with dental procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and handling instruments safely.Candidates should possess knowledge of infection control, sterilization techniques, and adherence to health and safety standards in a dental setting.Candidates should possess skills in patient communication, including explaining procedures, providing post-treatment instructions, and maintaining a calm, supportive environment.Candidates should possess organizational and administrative skills for managing appointments, maintaining patient records, and coordinating with the dental team.Candidates should possess attention to detail and manual dexterity for tasks such as dental impressions, x-ray support, and equipment handling.Recognized Dental Assistant diploma or certification, and eligibility to work as a Dental Assistant in the UAE.Previous experience in a clinical or hospital-based dental practice is preferred.Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-cultural healthcare environment, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and respect for patients and colleagues.Basic computer literacy and familiarity with dental or healthcare information systems is an advantage.Willingness to work flexible shifts as required by patient care needs.
