The Dental Assistant will support dentists chairside during examinations and procedures, prepare treatment rooms, and ensure instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and organized. Daily tasks include assisting with oral care treatments, taking and recording patient information, maintaining accurate records, and helping patients feel comfortable before, during, and after appointments. The role also involves managing stock of clinical supplies, following infection control and safety protocols, and collaborating with the wider practice team to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care.Qualifications Strong foundational skills in Dental Care, Dentistry, and Oral Care to support a wide range of clinical procedures.Proficiency in Dental Assisting, including chairside support, patient preparation, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.Knowledge of Sterilization processes and infection control standards to ensure a safe clinical environment.Relevant dental assisting qualification or certification, or equivalent experience in a dental practice setting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient comfort and professional service.Ability to follow detailed clinical instructions, work efficiently in a busy environment, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to maintaining high clinical and hygiene standards.Basic computer literacy for managing appointments and updating patient records; CPR or basic life support training is an advantage.
