This role supports dentists and hygienists during patient visits by preparing treatment rooms, organizing instruments, and assisting with dental procedures chairside. Daily responsibilities include taking and processing dental x-rays as permitted, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring equipment and tools are properly sterilized and stocked. The Dental Assistant helps educate patients on oral care routines, provides post-treatment instructions, and contributes to a clean, safe, and efficient clinical environment. The role also collaborates with front office staff to support smooth scheduling, patient flow, and overall practice operations.Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Dental Assisting, including chairside support and patient preparationKnowledge of Dental Care and Dentistry practices to assist with a range of proceduresAbility to promote effective Oral Care through patient education and clear communicationExperience with Sterilization protocols and infection control in a clinical settingRelevant dental assistant certification or license as required by Arizona state regulationsStrong attention to detail, organization, and time management in a fast-paced environmentComfort working directly with patients of all ages and backgrounds in a professional, respectful mannerBasic computer skills and familiarity with dental practice management or EHR software is beneficialCPR certification and prior experience in a dental or healthcare setting are preferred
