Sonrisa’s multilingual team helps ensure clear communication and a welcoming environment across its seven office locations, with more clinics planned near major hospitals to improve access and convenience.Role Description The Dental Assistant role at Sonrisa Family Dental is a full-time, on-site position located in Berwyn, IL. The Dental Assistant will support dentists during examinations and procedures, prepare treatment rooms, and ensure instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, organized, and sterilized. Daily responsibilities include assisting with chairside procedures, taking and processing X-rays as permitted, updating patient records, and reinforcing oral hygiene instructions. The role also involves welcoming patients, helping them feel comfortable, coordinating with front-office staff on scheduling and patient flow, and maintaining a safe, compliant clinical environment.Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Dental Assisting and Dentistry to effectively support clinical procedures and patient care.Candidates should possess skills in Dental Care and Oral Care to educate patients on preventive practices and post-treatment instructions.Candidates should possess skills in Sterilization to maintain infection control standards and ensure a clean, safe operatory.Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience; dental assistant certification and radiography credentials preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural, multilingual environment; Spanish language proficiency is a plus.Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
