Whether you're an experienced Dental Assistant, returning to the workforce, studying, or simply seeking a part-time role that fits around other commitments, this position offers the chance to gain valuable experience in a busy and patient-focused practice.Located in the heart of East Auckland, Lumino Botany is a well-established practice known for its welcoming team culture, modern environment, and commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.Job DescriptionThis role will be primarily based at Lumino Botany, with one day per week supporting our team at Lumino Ormiston, providing variety and the opportunity to work across two well-established East Auckland practices.As a Dental Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our clinicians and ensuring our patients receive outstanding care throughout their visit.Your responsibilities will include:Assisting clinicians during a variety of dental proceduresPreparing and cleaning treatment roomsMaintaining high standards of infection control and sterilisationProviding exceptional patient care and support throughout appointmentsManaging instruments, materials, and clinical stockCompleting clinical administration and maintaining accurate patient recordsWorking collaboratively with the wider team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practiceHours for this role:Tuesday 08:30am - 6:15pm (Botany)Wednesday's 08:30am - 5:15pm (Botany)Thursdays 08:30 - 5:00pm (Ormiston) QualificationsPrevious experience as a Dental Assistant or within a healthcare environment is preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA positive, patient-focused approachStrong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectivelyConfident using computer systems and technologyAbility to work well both independently and as part of a teamA professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitudeValid New Zealand work rightsFull New Zealand driver's licence and reliable transport requiredAdditional InformationJoin a friendly, supportive, and experienced teamGain valuable experience within New Zealand's largest dental networkWork in a modern practice located in the heart of Botany, close to shopping, cafes, and public transportAn ideal opportunity for those seeking flexibility while continuing to build their dental careerJoin Us!If you're looking for a flexible opportunity where you can make a real difference to patients while working alongside a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
