The team is driven by a strong commitment to alleviating pain and performing root canal therapy correctly the first time to support lasting results for patients.Role Description The Dental Assistant role at St. Petersburg Endodontics is a full-time, on-site position located in St. Petersburg, FL. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting endodontic procedures such as root canal therapy, preparing treatment rooms, organizing instruments, and assisting the endodontist chairside throughout patient visits. The Dental Assistant will help with patient intake and education, maintain accurate treatment records, and ensure a positive, reassuring experience for individuals receiving care. This role also requires strict adherence to infection control protocols, equipment sterilization, and maintaining a clean, safe clinical environment. The Dental Assistant will collaborate with the clinical and front office team to support efficient scheduling, smooth patient flow, and high standards of care.QualificationsStrong foundation in dental care and dentistry, with experience or training in endodontic or oral health settings.Knowledge of oral care practices, including patient education on post-treatment care and general oral hygiene.Demonstrated proficiency in sterilization procedures and infection control standards within a dental environment.Experience in dental assisting, including chairside support, instrument handling, and preparation of dental materials.Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent on-the-job experience; current certifications (such as radiography or CPR) are preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to support patients who may be experiencing pain or anxiety.Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to follow clinical protocols and endodontic treatment workflows.Ability to work collaboratively in a small, specialized team and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment.
