We take pride in providing personalized care, building lasting relationships with our patients, and creating an excellent patient experience.We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and detail-oriented Dental Front Office Coordinator to join our team.The ideal candidate will have strong dental front-office and insurance experience, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of dental billing and accounts receivable. Medical billing experience is a strong plus, as our practice also works with medical insurance for certain dental procedures.ResponsibilitiesGreet patients warmly and professionallyAnswer and manage incoming phone callsSchedule, confirm, and reschedule appointmentsCheck patients in and outMaintain an organized and efficient daily scheduleCollect copayments, deductibles, and outstanding patient balancesDiscuss treatment costs and financial arrangements with patientsAssist patients with financing optionsMaintain accurate patient recordsCommunicate effectively with patients, doctors, and the clinical teamVerify patients' dental and medical insurance benefitsDetermine eligibility, coverage, limitations, exclusions, and estimated insurance paymentsPrepare accurate treatment estimates and patient financial arrangementsExplain insurance benefits and predeterminations/pre-authorizations to patientsSubmit dental and, when applicable, medical insurance claimsFollow up on outstanding claims and predeterminationsPost insurance and patient payments accuratelyGenerate and review insurance and accounts-receivable reportsGenerate patient statementsManage outstanding and overdue accountsFollow up on unpaid patient balances and insurance claimsCommunicate with insurance companies to resolve claim and payment issuesAssist with insurance appeals and claim corrections when necessaryQualificationsRequiredPrevious experience working in a dental office front-office/reception positionStrong knowledge of dental insurance and dental terminologyExperience verifying insurance benefits and preparing treatment estimatesExperience with dental claims, payment posting, and accounts receivableExcellent communication and patient-service skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational and multitasking abilitiesProfessional, dependable, positive, and team-oriented attitudeAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceHealth insurance401(k)Paid time offVacation daysWork Location: In person
