The Dental Hygienist will perform routine preventive care, including dental cleanings, prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing, while maintaining strict infection control and sterilization protocols. Daily responsibilities include reviewing medical histories, performing oral health screenings, assisting in the identification and management of periodontal disease, and educating patients on proper hygiene techniques and preventive care. The role also involves documenting clinical findings, supporting the dentist during examinations and treatments as needed, and contributing to a positive, efficient patient experience. The hygienist will work closely with the clinical and front office teams to ensure smooth scheduling, patient flow, and high-quality care.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong clinical skills in dentistry and dental care, with the ability to support comprehensive oral health treatment plans.Candidates should possess expertise in hygiene and dental prophylaxis, including performing thorough cleanings and preventive procedures.Candidates should possess knowledge in the assessment and management of periodontal disease, including appropriate treatment and patient education.Active state license as a Dental Hygienist in Pennsylvania and current CPR certification.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and motivate patients about oral health.Attention to detail, commitment to infection control and safety standards, and ability to work effectively in a team-based clinical environment.Prior experience in a general dentistry practice setting is preferred but not required.
