Team members join a patient-centered environment that values compassion, clear communication, and ongoing learning.Role Description This full-time, on-site Dental Hygienist role is based in Port Orchard, WA. The Dental Hygienist will perform comprehensive preventive and periodontal care, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance, and application of topical fluorides and sealants. Daily responsibilities include reviewing medical histories, conducting oral health assessments, taking and processing radiographs, and documenting findings in the patient record with accuracy and clarity. The role involves educating patients about oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and treatment options, while supporting the dentist during examinations and coordinating care. The Dental Hygienist will collaborate with the clinical and front office teams to maintain efficient patient flow, uphold strict infection control standards, and contribute to a welcoming environment for patients of all ages.QualificationsActive Washington State Dental Hygienist license and completion of an accredited dental hygiene program.Proficiency in preventive and periodontal procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, polishing, and application of fluoride and sealants.Experience with dental radiography, charting, and use of electronic dental records or practice management software.Strong patient education and communication skills, with the ability to explain treatment options and oral hygiene practices clearly and respectfully.Commitment to strict infection control, OSHA standards, and overall patient safety in a clinical setting.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment, manage time effectively, and maintain a professional, empathetic demeanor.CPR certification and familiarity with medical emergency protocols in a dental office.Prior experience in general or family dentistry is preferred; openness to continuing education and professional development is highly valued.
