The Dental Hygienist will perform routine and preventive dental care, including cleanings, scaling and root planing, and application of preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing medical and dental histories, conducting oral health assessments, educating patients on hygiene techniques and periodontal health, and documenting findings in patient records. The role also involves collaborating with dentists on treatment plans, assisting with management of periodontal disease, maintaining sterilization and infection control protocols, and supporting a positive, efficient patient experience throughout each visit.Qualifications Strong foundation in clinical Dentistry and comprehensive Dental Care.Proficiency in Hygiene procedures, including routine cleanings and patient education on oral health.Experience performing Dental Prophylaxis and related preventive treatments.Knowledge of Periodontal Disease assessment, management, and maintenance protocols.Active state Dental Hygienist license (or eligibility to obtain) in New York.Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.Commitment to strict infection control, OSHA compliance, and patient safety standards.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and chairside manner, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse team.Comfort with electronic dental records and basic digital technologies used in modern practices.Prior experience in a general or family dentistry setting is beneficial.
