Pacific Island Dental values professionalism, continuous learning, and a respectful, inclusive workplace for all staff.Role Description The Dental Hygienist will provide preventive dental care and education to patients, including performing dental prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and oral health assessments. Day-to-day responsibilities include taking and reviewing dental radiographs, charting periodontal status, supporting the dentist during clinical procedures, and maintaining accurate, up-to-date patient records. The role also includes educating patients on home care routines, demonstrating proper brushing and flossing techniques, and reinforcing treatment recommendations. Infection control, operatory setup and breakdown, and adherence to all safety and regulatory guidelines are essential components of the position. This is a full-time/part time , on-site role located in Laguna Niguel, CA.QualificationsStrong foundation in Dentistry and Dental Care, with the ability to support comprehensive treatment plans.Proficiency in Hygiene and Dental Prophylaxis, including routine cleanings and preventive services.Knowledge of Periodontal Disease, including assessment, documentation, and maintenance therapy.Current state license as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) and CPR/BLS certification.Commitment to infection control standards and familiarity with OSHA and HIPAA regulations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and motivate patients.Ability to work collaboratively with dental team members in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.Prior experience in a general dentistry practice is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
