The role involves providing high-quality preventive dental care, including scaling and polishing, periodontal maintenance, and patient education on oral hygiene practices. Day-to-day tasks include assessing oral health, documenting clinical findings, collaborating with dentists on treatment plans, and delivering tailored hygiene programs to support long-term dental health. The Dental Hygienist will also reinforce the practice’s preventive ethos by promoting regular check-ups, explaining treatment options clearly, and ensuring a calm, professional experience for patients of all ages. The role requires adherence to clinical protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines while contributing positively to a supportive team environment.Qualifications Strong clinical skills in Dentistry and Dental Care, with the ability to support a broad range of preventive and restorative treatments.Proficiency in Hygiene and Dental Prophylaxis, including scaling, polishing, and individualized oral hygiene instruction.Knowledge of Periodontal Disease and its prevention, diagnosis, and non-surgical management.Recognized qualification in dental hygiene and current registration with the relevant professional regulatory body.Commitment to high standards of infection control, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and motivate patients.Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary dental team and manage a consistent patient schedule.Experience in a preventive-focused or private practice setting is beneficial.
