We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, excellent clinical skills, and a passion for educating patients about oral hygiene.Job SummaryAs a Dental Hygienist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality dental care and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices. You will work closely with dentists and other dental professionals to provide preventive and therapeutic oral care.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and root planing.Conduct oral health assessments, including reviewing patients' medical histories and performing oral cancer screenings.Take X-rays, and digital scanning.Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of preventive care.Assist the dentist with examinations and treatments as needed.Document patient care and treatment plans accurately and thoroughly.Maintain a clean and sterile work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient patient flow.Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene and attend continuing education courses.QualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist, and up to date CE.Current CPR certification.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.Queen City Family Dentistry is an equal opportunity employer.
