The Dental Nurse will support dentists and other clinicians during examinations and treatments, prepare and maintain clinical areas and equipment, and ensure instruments are appropriately sterilized and stored. Daily responsibilities include assisting with a range of dental procedures, managing chairside notes and records, supporting patients before, during, and after treatment, and promoting high standards of infection control and decontamination. The role also involves coordinating appointment flow, maintaining stock levels of clinical materials, and contributing to a safe, welcoming environment for patients and colleagues.Qualifications Strong clinical skills in dentistry and dental care, with experience supporting a variety of dental procedures.Knowledge and practical experience in infection control and decontamination processes in a clinical setting.Familiarity with orthodontics and the ability to assist with orthodontic treatments is beneficial.Recognized Dental Nurse qualification and registration (or eligibility for registration) with the appropriate professional body.Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients of all ages and backgrounds.Ability to follow clinical protocols, work accurately under supervision, and contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team.Basic IT skills for managing patient records and using practice management systems.Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to relevant health and safety regulations.
