We are a growing, technology-forward practice with a close-knit team and high standards for communication, organization, and attention to detail.We are looking for an experienced Dental Practice Manager to take ownership of day-to-day practice operations and lead our administrative team.This is not an entry-level management position. We are looking for someone who has already successfully managed a dental practice and can step into a leadership role with confidence.The RoleThe Practice Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the practice operates smoothly, efficiently, and consistently at a high standard.You will lead and develop the front-office team, oversee the patient experience, monitor financial and operational performance, and make sure that important details do not fall through the cracks.A major part of this position is managing people and maintaining accountability. We want someone who enjoys training employees, giving feedback, developing systems, and creating a team that can operate exceptionally well without constant owner oversight.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, train, coach, and hold the team accountableEstablish clear workflows, responsibilities, and performance expectationsReview team members' work and identify errors before they affect patients or the practiceOversee scheduling, collections, insurance coordination, accounts receivable, and front-office operationsMonitor daily and weekly practice KPIs and proactively identify operational issuesEnsure treatment plans, estimates, deposits, and patient financial arrangements are handled accuratelyConfidently communicate comprehensive and complex treatment plans to patientsHelp patients understand treatment sequencing, insurance benefits, financing options, and financial responsibilitiesMaintain an organized and highly responsive patient experienceHandle escalated patient concerns professionally and calmlySupport hiring, onboarding, and training of new team membersConduct regular team check-ins and reinforce practice policies and standardsIdentify inefficiencies and implement better systems and processesWork closely with the owners and doctors while independently managing day-to-day operationsHelp build the operational infrastructure needed as Terra Dental continues to growWho We're Looking ForRequired:5+ years of experience working in a dental practice3+ years of direct dental office management or practice management experienceDemonstrated experience directly supervising and training a teamStrong understanding of dental scheduling, insurance, billing, collections, accounts receivable, and treatment coordinationExperience presenting and coordinating comprehensive dental treatment plansExceptional attention to detail and ability to audit the work of othersExcellent verbal and written communicationComfortable having difficult conversations and holding employees accountableHighly organized and able to manage multiple priorities without losing track of detailsStrong judgment and problem-solving abilityProfessional, polished, warm, and patient-focusedStrongly preferred:Experience in a high-end private, cosmetic, or comprehensive dental practiceExperience managing a multi-provider practiceExperience with insurance billing and appealsStrong understanding of practice KPIs and dental practice financial performanceExperience building SOPs and training systemsExperience helping a growing practice scaleWhat Success Looks LikeWithin the first several months, the Practice Manager should be able to independently run day-to-day administrative operations, establish clear accountability across the team, catch issues before they reach the owners, improve consistency and accuracy, and become the person the team naturally looks to for operational leadership.We are looking for someone who continually makes the practice better organized, better managed, and easier to operate, while continuously improving our exceptional patient experience.
