The Dentist will provide comprehensive clinical care, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and delivery of general dental services such as restorations, endodontics, extractions, and preventive care. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing patient appointments, maintaining accurate clinical records, collaborating with hygienists and dental assistants, and ensuring adherence to infection prevention and control protocols. The role involves educating patients on oral health, discussing treatment options, and supporting a positive, patient-centered experience. The Dentist will also contribute to practice growth through high-quality care, professional communication, and participation in team meetings and ongoing clinical development.Qualifications Recognized dental degree and current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the New Zealand Dental Council.Demonstrated competence in general dentistry, including diagnostics, restorative treatments, endodontics, minor oral surgery, and preventive care.Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain treatment options clearly and build trust with a diverse patient base.Commitment to clinical quality, ethical practice, and strict adherence to infection control and health and safety standards.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary practice team and contribute to a supportive, collaborative workplace culture.Strong organizational skills, including time management, accurate record-keeping, and confident use of dental practice management and digital systems.Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development, training, and clinical education to maintain and enhance skills.Experience in a community-focused or high-volume dental practice is beneficial; prior work in New Zealand or similar healthcare systems is an advantage.
