Qualifications

Education: Graduation from an accredited dental schoolLicensure/Certification/Experience:Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of LouisianaCurrent CPR certificationLouisiana CDS and DEA Registration requiredComputer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).EMR: EMR experience preferredCompetencies:Participates in the compliance program and maintains patient confidentiality, regulatory requirements, and ethical business practices.Meets dress code and appearance standards, wears identification, reports to work on time with excellent attendance, and uses the punch time system correctly.Completes annual education, off-site in-services, annual reviews, departmental in-services, and scheduled staff meetings; reads and returns monthly meeting minutes.Represents the organization positively and professionally and communicates its mission, ethics, and goals.

Key Responsibilities

Examines, diagnoses, and treats dental conditions or refers patients for specialty care per clinical protocols.Records all patient-dentist transactions accurately, completes referrals and required paperwork.Educates individuals on health conditions and oral disease prevention.Assists in continuing education, on-the-job training, and staff orientation.Performs other assigned tasks to achieve organizational goals.Maintains professional skills through continuing education.Ensures personal and professional compliance with all federal, state, local, and center regulations, including personnel, safety, public health, and confidentiality.How to Apply: Ready to transform community health through dentistry?
