We're partnering with a highly regarded Australian organisation to recruit an experienced Company Secretary to join a collaborative Governance team. This is an opportunity to work closely with the Board, Executive Leadership Team and key stakeholders, ensuring best practice governance while contributing to a business with a genuine community focus.This role offers exposure to a broad range of governance activities in a complex, regulated environment, with the opportunity to influence continuous improvement and support strategic decision-making at the highest level.The OpportunityReporting to the Head of Governance, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality company secretarial services across the organisation, including Board and Committee support, governance advice and statutory compliance.Key responsibilities include:Providing end-to-end secretariat support for Board and Committee meetings, including agendas, papers, minutes and action tracking.Advising directors and senior stakeholders on governance obligations and best practice.Maintaining statutory registers and ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.Supporting Board and Committee evaluations, annual governance planning and policy reviews.Coordinating governance reporting and maintaining governance frameworks.Working closely with Legal, Risk and Executive stakeholders on governance initiatives and strategic projects.Driving continuous improvement across governance processes, systems and reporting.About YouYou'll be an experienced Company Secretary or governance professional who enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders and thrives in a collaborative environment.You'll bring:Previous experience in a Company Secretary or Assistant Company Secretary role.Strong knowledge of corporate governance principles and Board processes.Experience supporting Boards and Committees within a regulated or complex organisation.Excellent minute-taking, written communication and stakeholder management skills.High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.Relevant governance, legal or corporate qualifications will be highly regarded.
