Through its teaching, research and engagement, the Institute advances social, cultural, educational and community wellbeing, and plays a key role in preparing graduates who contribute to schools, services, communities, creative industries and regional workforces. We are seeking an outstanding strategic leader for our Institute of Education, Arts and Community who will provide academic leadership across teaching, research, and engagement activities and who shares the University’s values of Inclusion, Innovation, Excellence, Empowerment, and Collaboration. Reporting to the Pro Vice Chancellor (PVC), you will support the PVC in achieving the ambition expressed in the 2040 strategic plan, developing and building innovative pedagogy, assessment, and delivery approaches that engage our learners and employer partners, you will work collaboratively with the Institute leadership team as well as across the Institutes and central portfolios and will be instrumental in helping us leverage our dual sector capability and the inter-disciplinarity of the university’s three Institutes to meet emerging areas of demand. This position requires a well rounded leader who can think strategically while building high-performing teams, managing people and complex operational requirements across multiple campuses.This full-time, fixed-term position for five years includes a professorial title and is based at our Mt Helen Campus in Ballarat, with travel between campuses required.
