Responsibilities

Lead and manage the end-to-end internship lifecycle, ensuring full compliance with TEQSA requirements and institutional standards.Oversee internship dashboards and reporting systems to monitor performance, progress, and outcomes.Assign and coordinate Academic Mentors to support student success throughout the internship journey.Ensure the seamless execution of internships across cohorts by establishing clear timelines, deliverables, monitoring mechanisms, and effective evaluation by Academic and Corporate Mentors.Conduct internship debriefing sessions to capture feedback, assess learning outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.Communicate internship eligibility and key updates to all relevant stakeholders, including academic leadership, administrative units, and support teams.Uphold the SASH policy and champion student wellbeing throughout all Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) activities.Provide regular progress updates and strategic reports on internship outcomes to senior leadership.Coordinate with relevant departments to determine and communicate full-time placement eligibility.Partner closely with Career Services teams to track, monitor, and enhance student placement outcomes across internship and full-time employment pipelines.Student Engagement Responsibilities:As part of the role, the incumbent is expected to actively engage with students through:Internship briefing sessions to prepare students for professional workplace experiences.Mid-term review meetings (cohort-wise) with Career Services teams and, where applicable, Academic Mentors.Alumni networking and engagement events conducted in collaboration with Career Services.One-on-one mentoring and counselling sessions to support student development and address individual concerns.Ongoing guidance and support to ensure a positive and successful internship experience.Qualification:PhD in relevant area from recognized institution, and experience in teaching in higher education.
