Deputy General Manager

For FB Group’s growing and expanding operations in West Africa, we are looking for a senior executive with strong experience in aviation operations, airport management, and ground handling services, who can lead operational processes with a strategic vision.The successful candidate is expected to contribute to operational excellence, stakeholder management, team leadership, and sustainable growth within our international organizational structure.“The position will be based in West Africa.”QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Aeronautical Engineering,Minimum 13 years of experience in the aviation industry, including at least 5 years in a managerial role,Knowledge of ICAO, ACI, and IATA standards,A basic understanding of aviation and airport security is required to meet ICAO SARPs (Standards and Recommended Practices).Experience in ORAT, Aerodrome Certification Process, and Aerodrome Manual procedures,Strong understanding of QMS, SMS, and AEP processes,Experience and knowledge in Airside & Landside operations,Experience in ground handling organizations and operations,Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills,Excellent stakeholder management and corporate communication skills,Good command of official correspondence processes,Experience in budgeting and reporting processes,Competency in managing Human Resources-related functions,Fluent in English,Proficient in MS Office and operational systems,Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills,Ability to adapt quickly to change and work effectively in multicultural environments.Job DescriptionManage and coordinate daily airport operations,Ensure operational processes are maintained in compliance with international aviation standards,Lead operational readiness, airport transition, and aerodrome certification processes,Coordinate airport safety, quality, and emergency management processes,Ensure efficiency and continuity of ground handling operations,Analyze operational risks and develop necessary action plans,Manage relationships with public authorities, airlines, service providers, and other stakeholders,Oversee budgeting, cost control, and operational performance processes,Monitor team performance and ensure cross-functional coordination,Lead process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives,Coordinate audit processes and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
