Location: Chennai.Mandatory Skills: High Value Equipment used in Oil & Gas, Power and Process industry/ Boilers / cooling systems / heavy engineering components.JD:To lead and strategically manage the organization’s procurement function by ensuring cost-effective, timely, quality-driven, and risk-managed sourcing of materials, equipment, and services required for manufacturing and project execution.The role will also build a high-performing procurement team, leverage data and technology for procurement analytics, and contribute to improving working capital, procurement efficiency, project profitability, and overall business competitiveness.JOB SPECIFICATIONEducation:Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Job Related Experience:15+ years experience in procurement / sourcing within Power / EPC / Industrial / Capital Equipment industriesBusiness Understanding:Strong experience in procurement of High Value Equipment used in Oil&Gas, Power and Process industry/ Boilers / cooling systems / heavy engineering components Should have handled a team of Managers, Assistant Managers, Engineers and GETProven track record in vendor negotiations and cost optimizationExposure to project procurement and EPC environments Others:Proficiency in SAP/ERP.
Proficiency in MS Office. Good communication and Leadership skills. Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
