On the technical side, the role requires strong expertise to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and signal flow issues in real time across PCR, MCR, Studios, Feed Room, and Data Centre operations, ensuring zero disruption to 24/7 on-air delivery. On the management side, the role involves leading, mentoring, and scheduling the broadcast engineering team, coordinating with Editorial, IT, and vendor partners, and driving operational discipline across shifts. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable getting into the technical details to solve a live issue and stepping back to manage people and processes a true engineer-manager built for a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily live production workflows and operations across Studio, PCR, MCR, and CERSupervise and lead the broadcast engineering teamTroubleshoot hardware, software, and signal flow issues quickly and effectivelyCoordinate with Editorial, PCR, MCR, ENG, and IT teams to ensure smooth live news productionLiaise with OEMs and vendors for technical equipment support and issue resolutionMaintain backup systems and disaster recovery readiness for uninterrupted broadcast operationsRequired Qualifications: Experience: 10–12 years in live news broadcast television and digital broadcast operations Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering or a related fieldSkills: Strong knowledge of AV HD/3G-SDI and IP workflows Video Router systems Time Sync protocols Virtual Tracking systems Automation systems Studio workflow and live news setup design & integration
