RAK Ceramics is publicly listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) and the Dhaka Stock Exchange.The RoleRAK Ceramics is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager – Power and Desalination Plant to manage the operation and maintenance of 42 MW of captive power generation, power distribution networks, and the water plant.The role will ensure uninterrupted power supply, oversee plant operations and maintenance, manage the O&M team, and ensure safety, reliability, and equipment availability.What You Will Be DoingPower Plant & Water OperationsSupervise power generation, desalination, water treatment, and utility systems.Ensure continuous power supply to the factory and other facilities.Manage the 42 MW captive power generation.Manage power import from external suppliers.Monitor power generation, consumption, and water production KPIs.Electrical MaintenanceManage electrical maintenance of natural gas engines and gas turbines.Maintain auxiliary equipment including compressors, pumps, motors, heat exchangers, boilers, control circuits, and sensors.Manage power distribution networks, substations, RMUs, and transformers.Support cable-laying projects and electrical calculations.Plant Maintenance & ReliabilityImplement preventive maintenance schedules.Support planned and breakdown maintenance.Reduce equipment downtime.Implement RCM and condition monitoring programs.Lead RCA for equipment failures and plant disturbances.Conduct technical studies and recommend improvements.Team & Safety ManagementManage Engineers, supervisors, operators, and technicians.Ensure safe and efficient plant operations.Conduct toolbox talks and support safety practices.Provide team development and skills training.Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers.Cost & ReportingImplement cost-reduction strategies.Monitor spare parts and material requirements.Analyze operational data and recommend improvements.Prepare reports for management.Support power plant audits and regulatory requirements.What We Are Looking ForExperience with Gas Engines and Gas Turbines.Experience with power distribution networks.Experience with RO Desalination and Water Treatment Plants.Knowledge of SAP PM/MM.Experience in plant maintenance, reliability, HSE, budgeting, cost control, and project management.Strong team leadership, communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.Our Ideal MatchBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.10+ years of power plant management experience.Experience in operations and maintenance of Gas Engines and Gas Turbines.Experience with power distribution networks, RO Desalination, and Water Treatment Plants.Strong people management and leadership skills.Strong focus on plant reliability, efficiency, and safetyRAK Ceramics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, nationality, disability, age, or marital status
