Job Description: Deputy Manager / Manager – Production Planning & Inventory (Contract Manufacturing)Position OverviewRole: Deputy Manager / ManagerDepartment: Supply Chain Employment Type: Full-TimeCTC Range – upto 16 LPALocation - Navi MumbaiKey ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & SchedulingReview Sales orders and Inventory levels to ensure availability of the RM & PM for timely production.Coordinate with Contract manufacturers to schedule manufacturing, filling and packing of Perfumes and Cosmetic products.Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams for seeking approvals on the Perfume Bulks and Stability studies. Coordinate with external stake holders – Contract manufacturers and Suppliers for arranging PI, PO and alignment on delivery timelines.Visit Plants and Suppliers as and when required for monitoring production activities and Quality compliance. Prepare Production and Inventory related reports to circulate regularlyProduct ComplianceEnsure strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Quality compliance with the set standard specifications with respect to RM, PM and Finished Goods.Troubleshoot production bottlenecks, workout precautionary and corrective actions in case of any discrepancy.Prepare Bill of Materials, Purchase requisitions and maintain records.Inventory ManagementOversee raw material, packaging material, and finished goods inventory levels.Manage stock accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical audits.Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or near-expiry inventory and report to management.Maintain optimal safety stock levels to prevent stockouts while reducing holding costs. Required QualificationsEducationBachelor’s or Master’s degree, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Chemistry/Pharmacy.Post-graduate degree or certification in Supply Chain Management (optional but preferred).Experience4 to 8 years of total experience in manufacturing operations.Minimum 2 to 3 years specifically in the cosmetics, personal care, pharma, FMCGHands-on experience in a contract manufacturing environment dealing with multiple clients.Skills & CompetenciesKnowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and advanced Excel.Understanding of cosmetic batch processing, filling lines, and packaging operations.Knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and safety norms.Good communication skills for handling client queries and cross-functional teams.
