Deputy Manager - Sustainability

This role supports the implementation of the Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS), manages environmental and social risks, and ensures sustainability compliance across the organization. It also drives sustainability initiatives aligned with the Company's strategic and sustainability objectives.The RoleImplement and monitor the company's Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS), and conduct environmental and social site visits where required.Update and enhance the ESMS, ESG Risk Policy, and other sustainability-related policies and frameworks.Prepare and submit sustainability-related reports to internal committees, regulators, development finance institutions, and other external stakeholders.Create awareness and build staff capacity on ESMS and ESG risk management.Assist in preparing sustainability-risk disclosures for the Annual Report, and other regulatory and stakeholder reporting requirements.The ProfileMinimum 05 years of experience in sustainability, environmental and social risk management, within a reputed financial institution.A degree from a recognized university, preferably in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Eco Business Management, Natural Resource Management, or a related discipline.Sound knowledge of environmental regulations, climate change, and environmental and social impact considerations relevant to businesses in Sri Lanka.Strong knowledge and practical experience in implementing SLFRS S1 and SLFRS S2 requirements.Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to represent the Finance Company on sustainability-related matters.Why Join Us?You’ll be part of a forward-thinking team that values initiative, innovation, and results.
