Design and Production EngineerDubai, UAE | Full time | On siteLEV Tech designs and manufactures metal structures and enclosures used inside data centers. We are looking for an experienced design engineer to own our 3D design work and take it all the way through to production.The roleYou will model our products in SolidWorks, pull bills of quantity and cut lists straight from your models, and prepare the files that drive our laser cutting and bending machines. You will also help us build a standard parts library so new designs take a fraction of the time. This is a hands on role, working closely with the production team.What you will doBuild 3D models and assemblies of custom structures in SolidWorksRead and work from client AutoCAD layouts and specificationsProduce shop drawings, bills of quantity and manufacturing cut lists directly from your modelsPrepare and nest files for laser cutting, and program bending on the press brakeDesign for manufacture, taking into account our own machines, tolerances and finishing processBuild and maintain a standard library of parts and assembliesSupport production on the floor, and visit sites to verify measurements where neededRequirementsMinimum 10 years of experience in design and production engineeringStrong SolidWorks skills, including sheet metal and large assembliesAble to produce accurate bills of quantity and cut lists from a 3D modelHands on experience with laser cutting nesting software and press brake programmingGood working knowledge of AutoCADSolid understanding of sheet metal fabrication and finishingComfortable working alongside a production team on the floorDegree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering preferred. A diploma with 12 or more years of relevant hands on experience will also be consideredUAE experience is a mustAvailable to join at short notice
