Design Electrical Engineer – MV/LV

Required Qualifications & Experience:Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design and engineering, preferably in power plants, industrial, oil & gas, or EPC projects.Strong experience in Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems. Experience with MV/LV switchgear, transformers, MCCs, PCCs, distribution boards, and UPS systems. Good knowledge of electrical protection, coordination, and short-circuit calculations.Experience in preparation and review of:Single Line Diagrams (SLD)Load schedulesCable schedulesCable sizing and voltage-drop calculationsTransformer and generator sizingShort-circuit calculationsProtection coordination studiesEarthing and lightning protection designsLighting and small-power systemsElectrical equipment specifications and datasheetsAbility to review IFC drawings, vendor drawings, and technical submittals.Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and NEC.Experience coordinating with civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and process disciplines.Good knowledge of electrical design software such as ETAP, AutoCAD, and/or EPLAN.Experience with FAT, SAT, testing, commissioning, and site technical support is preferred.Strong ability to coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors.Good technical report writing and communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.Preferred: Experience in power generation / gas turbine projects and Saudi Aramco/SEC or similar utility standards.QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering• Minimum 10 years of relevant electrical design & engineering experience• Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NFPA and NEC standards• Proficiency in electrical design software such as ETAP, AutoCAD and/or EPLAN• Strong technical report writing and communication skills• Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, vendors and subcontractors• Ability to work under pressure and deliver within project deadlines
