Job Title - Design EngineerCompany: Safety Projects Pvt LtdDepartment: Design & EngineeringReporting To: Technical DirectorLocation: Umbergaon PlantPosition SummarySafety Projects Pvt Ltd is looking for a skilled and innovative Technical Design Engineer responsible for design development, engineering calculations, manufacturing drawings, technical coordination, and optimization of industrial special-purpose engineering systems. The role involves close coordination with production and project execution teams to ensure efficient and manufacturable designs.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign EngineeringDesign and develop:○ Structural support systems○ Special components○ Application-based engineering systemsPrepare detailed engineering and fabrication drawings.Develop optimized and manufacturable design solutions.Ensure compliance with technical specifications and project requirements.Should be capable at conducting Finite Element Analysis (FEA)Technical ActivitiesPerform engineering and load calculations.Prepare manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and fabrication details.Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.Prepare technical specifications and design reports.Coordinate prototype development and testing activities.Production CoordinationSupport the production team in resolving fabrication and manufacturing issues.Modify and optimize drawings based on manufacturing feasibility and site requirements.Coordinate with shop floor teams to ensure smooth execution of designs.Site CoordinationReview site measurements and installation requirements.Coordinate with project execution and installation teams.Provide technical support during installation and commissioning activities when required.Software KnowledgeAutoCADSolidWorksInventorTekla (Preferred)QualificationBE in Mechanical Engineering / Structural EngineeringExperience5–10 years of relevant experience in industrial design engineering, fabrication design, or special-purpose engineering systems.Skills RequiredStructural design and analysisFabrication and sheet metal designLoad calculations and engineering analysisBOM preparation and technical documentationManufacturing drawing developmentProblem-solving and analytical skillsCoordination and communication abilitiesShould be capable at conducting Finite Element Analysis (FEA)Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Drawing accuracyDesign completion timelinesDesign optimization and material efficiencyReduction in manufacturing and fabrication errorsTimely release of drawings and BOMsPreferred AttributesStrong technical and analytical mindsetAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAttention to detail and quality standardsProactive approach toward design improvement and optimizationTeam-oriented and collaborative working styleSkills: structural design,calculations,autocad,boms,fea,structural,design,manufacturing
