The Design Engineer will develop and refine mechanical and electrical designs for robotic and automation systems, using CAD tools to create detailed models, drawings, and assemblies. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, performing design calculations, selecting appropriate components, and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and quality standards. The role involves preparing technical documentation, supporting prototype builds, participating in testing and validation, and implementing design improvements based on feedback and field performance. The Design Engineer will also assist in cost optimization, manufacturability reviews, and provide technical support during installation and commissioning as needed.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering and Product Design skills for developing robust, efficient, and manufacturable solutions.Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering expertise, including fundamentals of mechanics, materials, and manufacturing processes.Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, detailing, and creating engineering drawings.Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering knowledge related to automation systems, sensors, actuators, and basic control principles.Candidates should possess problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to perform design calculations and evaluate trade-offs.Candidates should possess effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with engineering, production, and operations teams.Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.Experience in robotics, industrial automation, or machine design, familiarity with industry standards, and exposure to prototyping and testing are highly beneficial.
