Design Engineer – Engineering Office

Project: Omairah – ADNOC Offshore Project Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Department: Engineering / Design Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant UAE experience Industry: MEP, Civil Construction, Engineering Job Summary We are seeking a qualified and experienced Design Engineer – Engineering Office to support our Omairah – ADNOC Offshore Project in the UAE. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant UAE experience, with a strong background in MEP design and civil construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and coordinating engineering drawings and design documents, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements. Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and coordinate MEP engineering drawings, layouts, and design documentation. Coordinate MEP designs with civil, structural, and other engineering disciplines. Review technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure design accuracy and compliance. Support engineering design activities for civil construction and offshore project works. Identify and resolve design clashes and technical discrepancies in coordination with project and site teams. Prepare technical submittals, material specifications, design calculations, and other engineering documents as required. Liaise with project managers, site engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Ensure that all design deliverables comply with approved project specifications, applicable codes, and relevant client requirements. Incorporate technical comments and revisions into engineering drawings and documentation. Provide engineering support to construction teams to resolve design-related issues during project execution. Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline relevant to the position. Minimum 3 years of relevant engineering experience in the UAE. Demonstrated experience in MEP and civil construction projects. Previous experience in an engineering office, design consultancy, or construction engineering environment. Good knowledge of engineering drawings, design coordination, technical documentation, and construction practices. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering design software. Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams. Good communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills. Ability to work under project deadlines and manage multiple engineering deliverables. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience on ADNOC civil construction projects Exposure to offshore project requirements and engineering coordination. Familiarity with relevant UAE regulations, engineering standards, and client specifications.
