The person in this role will design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and related mechanical systems, including concept development, detailed engineering, and preparation of design documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and modifying CAD models and drawings, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that designs meet performance, safety, and quality standards. The Design Engineer will collaborate closely with manufacturing and electrical teams to support prototyping, testing, and commissioning of equipment, as well as address design improvements based on feedback. The role also involves problem-solving on design issues, maintaining design records, and contributing to continuous improvement in product design and development processes.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering skills, with specific experience in Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and industrial machinery design.Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering skills, including knowledge of machine elements, materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering calculations.Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, with proficiency in common CAD tools for 2D drafting and 3D modeling.Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering understanding sufficient to coordinate with electrical teams on integration of controls and power systems.Candidates should possess Product Design skills, including concept development, design for manufacturability, and design for safety and reliability.Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and standards, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively on-site in Manesar, and openness to learn and adapt to client requirements.
