Design Lead

1. Concept Design & Engineering Leadership​Lead the end-to-end mechanical engineering for automated systems, including conveyor layouts, semi-automated processing machines.​Drive 3D modeling, 2D detailed drafting, GD&T application, and structural integrity checks using CAD suites (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).​Standardize machine elements, motor sizing, pneumatic/hydraulic circuit sizing, drive selection, and bill of materials (BOM) creation.​2. Client Technical Coordination & Approval​Review client Technical Specifications and RFQs to deliver pre-sales concepts, layout feasibility studies, and cost estimations.​Interface directly with Tier-1 industrial clients (such as tire manufacturers like MRF, auto OEMs, and process plants) to secure layout approvals, Design Freeze sign-offs, and design modifications.​Ensure designs align with industrial ergonomics, plant safety regulations, and client-specific factory layout constraints.​3. Cross-Functional Execution (Fabrication to Commissioning)​Collaborate with in-house fabrication, assembly, and controls/electrical teams to resolve shop-floor assembly interferences and manufacturability issues (DFM/DFA).​Conduct rigorous internal design reviews before releasing fabrication drawings to vendor development or production.​Assist the commissioning and field trial teams during factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) to rectify mechanical bottlenecks.​4. Team Mentorship & Process Governance​Supervise, review, and mentor junior design engineers and CAD detailers.​Establish design libraries, standard modular components, revision-control practices, and engineering change order (ECO/ECN) workflows.
