Design Manager (Hospitality & Resorts)

We are looking for an experienced Design Manager with a strong background in internationally branded hospitality hotels and resorts to lead and coordinate the design process across the full project lifecycle.The role will oversee design from pre-concept and concept development through schematic design, detailed design, IFC, construction support, and final handover to the delivery team.The successful candidate will act as a key link between the Lead Designer, consultants, Operator, project stakeholders, and delivery teams, ensuring that the design intent, technical quality, hospitality standards, and project programme are maintained throughout the project.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the design process throughout the full project lifecycle.Coordinate with Lead Designers, architects, subconsultants, Operators, and internal stakeholders.Review design deliverables to ensure alignment with project requirements, design intent, quality standards, and programme.Provide technical design input and challenge design solutions where required.Manage design coordination across architectural, interior design, structural, MEP, BIM, and specialist disciplines.Review and coordinate BIM models, including clash detection and design coordination.Review design drawings, material submissions, samples, and technical submittals.Support site teams with design-related issues, material inspections, snagging, and technical queries.Coordinate design changes and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained.Monitor design programme, deliverables, dependencies, and risks.Coordinate with hotel Operators to ensure operational and brand requirements are incorporated into the design.Support the transition from design to construction and ultimately to project handover.Ensure hospitality technology and hotel systems are appropriately coordinated with the overall design.Contribute to resort master planning and large-scale hospitality development where applicable.Minimum Requirements – Must Have:Bachelor’s degree in architecture.Proven experience delivering at least 3 internationally branded 4- or 5-star hotels/resorts.Experience working across multiple design stages, including Concept, Schematic Design, Detailed Design, and Issued for Construction (IFC).Strong experience in design coordination and consultant management.Demonstrated site experience, including material inspections, snagging, and shop drawing reviews.Experience working with or coordinating hotel Operators and internationally branded hospitality projects.Experience reviewing BIM models and participating in coordination/clash detection processes.Experience using relevant BIM/design coordination tools such as Revit and/or Navisworks.Experience managing and coordinating Lead Designers, subconsultants, and Operators simultaneously.Experience in resort master planning is highly desirable.To be considered for this position, please provide the following information in your CV or application:Names and brands of at least 3 internationally branded 4- or 5-star hotels/resorts you have delivered.Your specific role and responsibilities on each project.Design stages you have personally managed.Your site experience, including material inspections, snagging, and shop drawing reviews.Your resort master planning experience.Your BIM software experience, including Revit and/or Navisworks.Your experience coordinating Lead Designers, subconsultants, and Hotel Operators.
