Design Project Coordinator – Luxury Carpets & Rugs

This role is ideal for someone with an interest in interior design, architecture, or construction who enjoys working with people, coordinating details, and seeing projects come together from concept through installation.You’ll work closely with interior designers, architects, homeowners, contractors, and construction teams, helping coordinate custom carpet and rug projects while providing exceptional client service. The position combines design awareness, administrative coordination, project management, and client communication in a specialized, high-end industry.What You'll DoPrepare and write detailed project estimates, proposals, and ordersWork directly with interior designers, architects, homeowners, contractors, and construction teams to coordinate carpet and rug projectsAssist designers and direct-to-consumer clients with project details, measurements, specifications, and installation requirementsCoordinate site visits, measurements, templating, fabrication, deliveries, and installationsManage project schedules and communicate timelines and updates to clients and project teamsCoordinate with our workroom, installers, vendors, mills, designers, and construction teams to keep projects moving smoothlyTrack project details, material orders, approvals, deposits, and documentationCommunicate professionally with clients via phone and email and provide consistent follow-up throughout each projectAssist with back-office administrative and project management tasksHelp ensure a seamless experience from the initial estimate through fabrication, delivery, and installationLearn the technical aspects of custom carpet fabrication, rug construction, installation, and textile careWhat We’re Looking ForAn interest in interior design, architecture, construction, or luxury interiorsFamiliarity with architectural plans, floor plans, drawings, or design specifications is a strong plusExperience working with interior designers, architects, contractors, or construction teams is preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-throughAbility to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and prioritiesComfortable communicating with high-end clients and industry professionalsA proactive, professional, solutions-oriented attitudeWillingness to learn the specialized craftsmanship and technical processes behind custom carpet and rug projectsWhy Join UsAt Costikyan, we blend craftsmanship, heritage, and modern service to care for the spaces people love most.
