With more than 30 licensed and owned brands, including some of the most sought-after names in global fashion, our success is driven by our team’s entrepreneurial spirit and our deep relationships across the industry.Position Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Designer to join our Global Licensing Design team. This role will be responsible for overseeing external design teams developing products across multiple categories, including accessories, children's clothing, footwear, home, bath, legwear, and socks for several G-III owned brands. The Designer will oversee the development of upwards of 20 collections annually, ensuring consistency with brand identity, design standards, and commercial objectives.The ideal candidate possesses a strong ability to translate brand identities and philosophies into diverse fashion categories through compelling seasonal concepts, extensive multi-category design knowledge, and effective design process supervision and approvals. Strong communication, exceptional time management skills, and a willingness to develop expertise across multiple design categories are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with internal Design teams to communicate updated brand DNA, design frameworks, and seasonal concepts to external licensing partners.Oversee the development of licensed products across multiple categories, ensuring alignment with brand identity, design direction, and seasonal objectives.Review and evaluate concepts, sketches, prototypes, and product development submissions from external design teams.Provide clear and constructive design feedback, communicate approvals and revisions, and maintain accurate documentation throughout the development process.Develop seasonal category inspiration based on brand identity, category knowledge, fashion history, and emerging industry trends.Translate brand aesthetics and seasonal concepts into cohesive product collections across accessories, children's apparel, footwear, home, bath, legwear, and socks.Identify opportunities for design innovation and product development across licensed categories.Foster collaboration and creative exploration with internal and external design partners to support new product opportunities.Partner with Global Licensing business counterparts to support the continued growth and performance of licensed product categories.Manage multiple seasonal collections and development timelines while ensuring design reviews, feedback, and approvals are completed according to established deadlines.Who You Are:A creative designer with the ability to translate distinct brand identities into cohesive product collections across multiple categories.A design professional with strong aesthetic sensibilities and extensive knowledge of fabrics, color, printing techniques, and fashion history.A highly organized, methodical, and detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage multiple collections and deadlines.A collaborative team player who builds strong relationships with internal teams, external design partners, and licensing stakeholders.A commercially minded designer who balances creative vision with business objectives and market relevance.A proactive self-starter who embraces opportunities to expand their knowledge across diverse product categories.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional design experience within the fashion industry.Experience working across multiple fashion or lifestyle product categories preferred.Strong aesthetic sensibilities, high taste level, and extensive knowledge of fashion history.Strong understanding of fabrications, color, printing techniques, and seasonal product development.Ability to interpret brand identities and translate design direction across diverse licensed product categories.Experience reviewing design concepts, sketches, prototypes, and product development submissions.Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple collections and development timelines in a fast-paced environment.Strong collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively across internal and external design teams.CV/Resume and work samples (Portfolio URL) required for initial consideration.
