Our client, a global apparel manufacturer of licensed and branded apparel is seeking a creative, organized, and forward-thinking Women's Designer to join their growing team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Design Director to drive the vision, development, and execution of Women's/Juniors Swim, Intimates, Lounge collections for a well know fun Rock & Roll/Graffiti fashion brand, from concept through production.This position is ideal for a proactive designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys cross-functional collaboration, and can confidently manage multiple projects while mentoring an Assistant Designer.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the research, concept development, and execution of Women's apparel collectionsDevelop seasonal design vision, color direction, fabric stories, and item-driven assortments aligned with brand DNADesign commercially viable collections that work independently and within a larger merchandised assortmentPartner closely with the Design Director and retail partners on Private Label collectionsExecute the full design process from initial concept through final fit and production approvalCreate detailed tech packs and maintain clear communication with overseas factories and development teamsReview all development, production, PP, and TOP samples while providing detailed comments and corrective feedback to factoriesApprove fabrics, trims, strike-offs, lab dips, and production qualities throughout the development cycleIdentify innovative fabrications, trims, washes, and modern updates to classic silhouettesGenerate and maintain seasonal T&A calendars to ensure timely execution across all categoriesCollaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, technical design, product development, sales, and production teamsUtilize AI tools and emerging technology to elevate CAD presentations, streamline workflows, and enhance visual storytellingConduct mandatory store research and market analysis reports every other Friday, highlighting emerging trends, competitive insights, merchandising opportunities, and product directionQualifications4-6 years of experience in Women's Design, Swim, Activewear, or related apparel categoriesStrong understanding of trends in men’s fashion, fabric, color, print, and silhouette developmentExperience developing seasonal collections and managing multiple concurrent projectsStrong technical knowledge with the ability to create comprehensive and production-ready tech packsExcellent sketching and CAD skills in Adobe IllustratorProficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; Excel experience is a plusKnowledge of fabrics, yarns, trims, garment construction, and production processesStrong presentation and communication skills with the ability to confidently interface with retail management and cross-functional teamsDetail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time-management skillsComfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
