Headquartered in Vienna, Austria, the company supports clients across Europe and worldwide through a distributed engineering team.Role Description This contract role for a Desktop Support Specialist is an on-site position based in Jiddah. The specialist will provide hands-on technical support for desktop computers, laptops, and related peripherals, including installation, configuration, and routine maintenance. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, supporting printers and local network connections, and responding to user service requests in a timely manner. The role also involves documenting incidents and resolutions, coordinating with remote teams when needed, and ensuring all work aligns with Headly Global’s standards and client requirements. The Desktop Support Specialist will interact directly with end users, helping them maintain productive, secure, and stable workstations.QualificationsStrong skills in Desktop Computers and Desk Top Support, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.Hands-on experience with Technical Support and Troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.Practical knowledge of Printer Support, including setup, driver installation, and resolving print-related problems.Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical users and provide user-friendly guidance.Experience working in on-site IT support environments, ideally within corporate or enterprise settings.Familiarity with Windows operating systems, basic networking concepts, and common office applications.Relevant technical certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or vendor-specific certifications) is an advantage.Capacity to work independently, manage multiple tickets, and follow established procedures and documentation standards.Candidate must have right to work as a Freelance Engineer Key Responsibilities:Access to, and the ability to operate, the tools, equipment, and/or software specified in the SOP.Dispatch Technician) to perform on-site services with remote direction/guidance from appropriate Agent or Technician• Provided device for voice communications (cell/mobile phone).Any replacements needed to restore the Device according to the scope of the Dispatch Case will be done at the FRU level (meaning spare or replacement part) rather than by replacing the entire Device.Scope for dispatch would be EUC L1 and Smarthands onlyDispatch Technician will return any replaced Devices/Accessories to client in accordance with the process set forth in the SOP.
