Partnering with government agencies and private-sector organizations, HCAM helps Marylanders enroll in health insurance and understand how to use their benefits over the long term. The agency focuses on supporting people with complex health and social needs, ensuring they receive coordinated, ongoing assistance. HCAM’s mission-driven team works to reduce barriers to care and promote equitable access to health resources across the state.Role Description The Development Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Baltimore, MD. This position supports fundraising and development activities, including managing donor records, preparing acknowledgment letters, and assisting with grant proposals and reports. The Development Coordinator helps plan and execute events, campaigns, and outreach initiatives, coordinating logistics, materials, and communication with stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and editing written content, tracking project timelines, maintaining databases and reports, and providing responsive customer service to donors and partners. The role works closely with the development team and other departments to ensure effective communication, accurate documentation, and consistent follow-through on development projects.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.Candidates should possess Customer Service skills, demonstrating responsiveness, professionalism, and a donor-centered approach in all interactions.Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including organizing tasks, managing timelines, and coordinating details across multiple initiatives.Candidates should possess Fundraising skills, such as supporting campaigns, events, and donor stewardship activities.Candidates should possess Writing skills, including drafting donor communications, event materials, and basic grant-related content.Relevant qualifications include proficiency with office productivity tools and donor or CRM databases, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Experience in nonprofit development, philanthropy, or health and human services is beneficial, as is familiarity with Baltimore’s communities and resource landscape.An associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field (such as Communications, Nonprofit Management, Public Health, or Business) or equivalent relevant experience is preferred.
