Every project is driven by a commitment to exceptional quality, delivered on time and on budget.Role DescriptionThe Development Manager will take ownership of the full lifecycle of care home development projects, from feasibility through to handover and completion. This role will manage feasibility assessments, planning applications, design development, and construction delivery in line with Yorkare’s quality standards. The Development Manager will liaise closely with local authorities, the design team, external consultants, specialist subcontractors and internal stakeholders to progress schemes efficiently. Responsibilities include managing project timelines and budgets, reviewing technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and planning requirements. The role also involves monitoring build quality, identifying risks, and driving continuous improvement to maintain industry-leading development outcomes, whilst maintaining health and safety requirements. Whilst the role will be based within the company’s head office in East Yorkshire, nationwide travel will be required to review site feasibility, meet with local stakeholders, attend site progress meetings and coordinate project completion into operational readiness.RequirementsStrong project and development skills, including experience overseeing property or construction projects from concept to completion.Proficiency in site appraisal, feasibility analysis, and planning processes, ideally with exposure to care sector developments.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including architects, planners, engineers, and contractors, with effective stakeholder management.Knowledge of UK planning regulations, building standards, and compliance requirements relevant to care home developments.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering projects on time and on budget.Previous experience in care home development, residential development, or a similar sector is an advantage.Commitment to ethical, professional conduct and alignment with Yorkare’s values of diligence, quality, and integrity.Relevant degree or professional qualification in construction, planning, surveying, or a related field is highly beneficial.BenefitsSalary - £40-50k per annum, dependant on experienceCompany car or allowancePension scheme with contributionsTo apply, please send your CV and covering letter to tim@yorkarehomes.co.uk
