Development Manager – Utility Scale Renewable Energy

Location: Melbourne, VICEmployment Type: Full-TimeAbout the Role;We are seeking an experienced Development Manager to lead the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects across Australia.

The role will focus on the full life-cycle of development including Onshore Wind, Solar, & Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from early-stage feasibility through to FID/construction readiness.Key Responsibilities;Lead the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects across wind, solar, and BESS technologies.Manage project development activities including site selection, land acquisition, planning approvals, environmental assessments, and stakeholder engagement.Coordinate technical studies, grid connection activities, and consultant workstreams.Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, councils, government agencies, network providers, and local communities.Manage project budgets, schedules, risks, and development milestones.Support commercial negotiations, project acquisitions, and investment approvals.Drive projects through to financial close and handover to delivery teams.About You;5+ years' experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or major project development.Demonstrated experience developing utility-scale renewable energy projects.Strong understanding of planning, environmental approvals, and project development processes.Experience working with landowners, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.Strong commercial, negotiation, and project management skills.Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Environmental Science, Planning, Property, Commerce, or a related field.
